Anton Fries, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, is a specialist in hand reconstructive surgery, performing procedures including carpal tunnel release, cubital tunnel release, Dupuytren’s disease excision, base of thumb arthritis surgery, malignant/benign skin lesion excision and hand trauma surgeries, including fracture fixation and tendon repairs.

Anton performs a range of cosmetic surgery procedures, including breast augmentation, breast reduction, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, abdominoplasty, liposuction, gynaecomastia surgery and labiaplasty.

In addition to more invasive cosmetic surgery, Anton also performs non- and minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures, including Botox® injections and fillers.

Outside of the operating theatre, Anton acts as an expert witness for medicolegal reports, specialising in cases involving plastic surgery, scarring, hand surgery including trauma, limb trauma (soft tissue), burns, sarcoma and cosmetic surgery.

@Georgia_Layton CS went due to covid, replacement is being worked on... communication skills in English will form part as that was one of purposes of CS for IMGs... ref the cost all I can say is that it's a sound investment.

Mr Anton Fries

Consultant Plastic Surgeon

Anton was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals in 2018. He specialises in hand surgery, limb reconstruction following trauma or cancer excision and cosmetic surgery. He graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2003 and completed his Plastic Surgical Training in the South West of England. He conducted his research in San Antonio, Texas investigating limb transplantation. His microsurgical fellowship training was in Taipei, Taiwan in the field of complex head and neck reconstruction. He was awarded the International Masters of Science Degree in Microsurgical Reconstruction from Chang Gung University in 2019.

Anton completed the Bristol Cosmetic Surgical training fellowship and has undergone further cosmetic surgical training in Sydney, Australia and San Antonio, Texas.

Anton has a keen interest in international surgery and has works annually in Manila performing pro bono cleft lip surgery and is now Medical Adviser to the board of Operation Restore Hope surgical charity. He has also worked on missions in Africa and Central America.
