Mr Anton Fries was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2018, specialising in trauma, sarcoma and hand reconstruction, and has a special research interest in Vascularised Composite Allotransplantation.

Mr Anton Fries is a Consultant Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgeon at The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Fries specialises in hand reconstructive operations and cosmetic procedures. Additionally, Mr Fries acts as an expert witness for medicolegal cases involving all forms of plastic surgery.

Anton has completed the Bristol Cosmetic Surgical training fellowship and has undergone further cosmetic surgical training in Sydney, Australia and San Antonio, Texas.
Surgical Missions
Anton has a keen interest in international surgery.
He has worked annually in Manila performing pro bono cleft lip surgery and is now Medical Adviser to the board of Operation Restore Hope surgical charity. He has also worked on missions in Africa and Central America.

During his training, Anton has worked in a number of world renowned centres. He has undertaken training placements in the West Midlands and South West Deaneries, as well as in South Africa, the USA and Taiwan.
